Herculaneum Quay
Liverpool: 75% sold
The Development
Herculaneum Quay is a luxury, new development located on the waterfront of what was once Herculaneum Dock, part of Liverpool’s great Maritime History.
With a location steeped in history, Herculaneum Quay consists of 101 luxury apartments all with outside terraces and great views of the river Mersey.
Herculaneum Quay is comprised of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments with 3 levels of underground parking. Herculaneum Quay completes in December 2015.
My Trip to Herculaneum Quay
I was recently in Liverpool to visit the Herculaneum Quay site, to take a good look at the area, and do comparables of what else is available. I can tell you, there is no other apartment block like Herculaneum Quay in Liverpool!
The building is oval in shape, has floor to ceiling glass in every apartment with large balconies and a unique position. I think residents will have perhaps the best views of Liverpool.
The river is curved where Herculaneum Quay is, and is situated on land that juts out like a semi circle.
The building is a high rise property, giving skyline views like you would find in Hong Kong, New York and Canary Wharf in London.
I walked along the riverside so I could compare Herculaneum Quay with other property developments. Most other properties in the area are very typical, rectangular type buildings, low rises with 3 to 4 floors. Very few of them have balconies and the windows are very small.
So whilst the other developments are right by the river, most do not have a view of the river or a view of Albert Dock, the Museum of Liverpool or the iconic Liver building - and many are higher priced too!
Additionally, Herculaneum Quay will have a swimming pool and a gymnasium, adding to the attractiveness as a place to live in.
The Location
Herculaneum Quay is situated on the popular Liverpool Riverside Drive, which is part of the Merserybeat Trail
It also benefits from being from being right next to the city centre, where vibrant nightlife including bars, restaurants and the new Liverpool One shopping centre is only a few minutes away. Obviously, with tourist hot spots comes plenty of parking too.
Even closer than the bars, restaurants and shopping centre is the historic Albert Dock which is one of the UK’s most popular tourist destinations. Millions of visitors come here yearly to visit the numerous hot spots like The Tate Liverpool or Merseyside Maritime Museum.
Liverpool is also the 4th most visited city in the UK, according to Trip Advisor.
The Opportunity
Herculaneum Quay is a smart property development to invest in. Indeed the Telegraph says so, having ranked 14th out of the ‘Top 20 properties ripe for investment for 2014.’
As a comparison, West Kensington, Richmond and Docklands, all in London, are ranked 15th, 16th and 17th respectively.
Since advertising this opportunity, I have been inundated with phone calls and e-mails from both UK and international investors who are buying as an investment, and from people from Liverpool who are keen to take up residence at Herculaneum Quay.
They can see a good deal and recognise that Herculaneum Quay will be an iconic and distinct landmark on the horizon of Liverpool.
