This time last week, Jean Liggett (Managing Director), Tom Chamberlain and Scott Bernstein (Sales Consultants) took a trip to Doncaster for an exclusive viewing with the developer of a brand new development we were very recently instructed to sell.

Doncaster is an upbeat, growing market city that boasts great transport links, a range of activities for the family to partake in and a growing restaurant, bar and shopping scene. Alongside this, its historic market – located in the town centre – has been around for more than 750 years, and stands as one of the oldest traditional markets in the whole of Yorkshire. Doncaster currently has a population of over 300,000.

Built around 1st century Roman fort on the River Don, Doncaster grew into one of 28 cities in Britain in the 9th century. The city is well geographically, well positioned and is the primary route connecting London to Edinburgh. Traditionally, it has been a prosperous area and this has not at all changed, especially concerning its lucrative property offerings…

THE DEVELOPMENT

Built in the 1930s, this development is a landmark building set in the heart of Doncaster. Located opposite the bustling Frenchgate Shopping Centre it occupies a prime position at the junction between Duke Street and St Sepulchre Gate.

“The development was impressive to say the least – the original features being maintained will bring plenty of character to the property. The developers have made great progress in line with the build schedule and we were delighted to be able to see some of apartments taking shape!”
